Intelligent interaction of sensor and gripper
The safe handling of sensitive objects is a complex issue in robotics, which is currently being addressed in the respective applications primarily with individual developments.
The aim is to develop a complex gripper system:
- Force sensitive gripper
- Highly sensitive objects
- Definable process security
- Modular system selection gripper-sensor combination
- Exit and fallback strategies

SafeGrip is a joint project of the Institute for Production Systems at TU Dortmund, IBG Robotronic GmbH and IBG Automation GmbH.
