Robots for installation spaces with short forward and backward cycle times
IBG has been developing and designing innovative robot modifications and intelligent processes for customised applications and industrial requirements for decades. For example, we have realised a robot for confined spaces with short forward and backward cycle times for the dismantling of nuclear power plants. Based on our wealth of experience in the field of CFRP gripping systems and CFRP processing, our experts have designed an industrial robot with an extended CFRP arm specifically for this task.
The composite fibre material CFRP with numerous positive properties is made from carbon fibres and epoxy resin. CFRP has very high strength and rigidity at a comparatively low density. This "ultra-light" material has become indispensable in aerospace, wind energy and motor racing. In special applications, the extension of the swing arm is generated specifically for the application. With this innovative solution, IBG has succeeded in improving the ergonomics and cycle time of the system.
